After graduating in 1990 he worked as a Graphic Artist for three years before becoming a freelance illustrator. The majority of his work is of an architectural nature, depicting buildings and street scenes. His watercolours express the dynamic contours of city buildings and reflect the vigour of urban life.

Adrian has exhibited throughout Britain. He has also produced various illustrations for The Big Issue magazine, and daily newspapers such as The Telegraph and The Independent. He currently illustrates the restaurant review for the Sunday Herald Magazine in Glasgow.

Adrian says of his work, "The aim within my illustrations is to make architecture more fun and therefore accessible to the general public. This I feel is reflected in the vibrancy and almost cartoon like qualities of the paintings."
