She now lives in North Yorkshire, England working part-time as a commercial house wares designer, producing designs for ceramics, metal ware and home accessories. She often travels abroad on "inspirational buying trips" to locations such as New York and Paris.

Nicola spends the rest of her time working as a freelance print designer and painter. Her work reflects her knowledge of colour, texture and her experience of working with a wide variety of materials.
